Soham, a young woman who lost both her legs during an insurgent rocket attack, walks using parallel bars for balance and support during a physical therapy session at Patrol Base Assassin, Iraq, Jan.15. Capt. Mike Garrison, from Fort Lee, Va., the physical therapist assigned to the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, and his assistant, Staff Sgt. Cecilia Garcia, from Lompoc, Calif., a medic with Company C, 203rd Brigade Support Battalion, both traveled from Forward Operating Base Hammer out to Patrol Base Assassin to check on Soham's progress in therapy.
