U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Matthew Hoffman, 448th Civil Affairs Battalion non-commissioned officer in charge of operations, performs a blood pressure check on a patient during a medical civic action program clinic in Chebelley, Djibouti, Oct. 6, 2012. The Joint Civil Affairs Teams and 448th Civil Affairs Battalion Functional Specialty Team worked alongside Djibouti Ministry of Health personnel to provide medical and dental care and share best practices during the event. Hoffman is deployed from Fort Lewis, Wash., and is originally from Beaver Dam, Wis.
