Paratroopers assigned to 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division conduct an Airborne insertion onto Malemute Drop Zone near Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska during the Spartan Memorial week 24 May, 2022. Jumpers carried the nametape of one of the 77 fallen Paratroopers from deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq to place on a board for Gold Star Family members and fellow Paratroopers to see.
Spartan Memorial Week is dedicated to the 77 Paratroopers that gave the ultimate sacrifice during the Global War on Terror. Each unit conducts events to honor the lives of the fallen and share their stories with current Spartan Paratroopers.
