Part of the Philippine Bilateral Amphibious Landing Exercise 13, Marines and Sailors of the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit conduct multiple humanitarian civil affairs projects throughout the island of Palawan, rendering medical, dental and engineering aid to the Filipino locals. PHIBLEX, now in its 29th iteration, is an annually-scheduled exercise between the U.S. and Philippine forces, aimed at strengthening military-to-military interoperability and bilateral relationships.
