Lt. Col. Sherri L. Bosley, left, commander of the 1st Sustainment Command (Theater) Special Troops Battalion, and Command Sgt. Maj. Jimmy L. Rutherford, command sergeant major of the 1st TSC STB, pay tribute to Staff Sgt. Gregory L. Elam at his memorial display in the chapel at Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan, Dec. 15. Elam, 39, and a native of Columbus, Ga., died from a non-combat related incident during physical training, Dec. 11. Elam was a member of the 54th Quartermaster Company (Mortuary Affairs) from Fort Lee, Va., which falls under the 1st TSC STB at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait.
