Seaman Dwayne Purnell, assigned to the Ticonderoga class guided-missile cruiser USS Mobile Bay (CG 53), attaches an accommodation ladder while the ship is preparing to anchor off the coast of Phuket, Thailand. Mobile Bay is a part of the John C. Stennis Carrier Strike Group and is returning to the U.S. 7th and 5th Fleet areas of responsibility four months ahead of schedule in order to maintain combatant commander requirements and Navy assets in the region.
