Soldiers and spouses laugh and share stories with Stephanie Mellow, mobilization and deployment specialist, Army Community Service and Alamogordo, N.M. native, during a Post-Deployment Resilience Training for Spouses/Couples class at the 1st Cavalry Division Family Readiness Center, Sept. 28. Mellow, along with other ACS staff members, held the two-hour course to give the participants a chance to discuss issues with soldiers reintegrating back into the lives of their families after a yearlong deployment. Though dealing with sensitive issues, the staff offered a relaxed, confidential environment for the participants to openly discuss their concerns and ask questions.
