Sean Kane, from San Jose, Calif., during a ceremony at Combat Outpost Cashe Nov. 29. Kane received the medal for injuries sustained Aug.18 when a suicide bomber attempted to kill members of his squad during a Concerned Local Citizens meeting in Jisr Diyala.
