The Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies hammered in nails into the 57th Presidential Inauguration platform during the First Nail Ceremony at the Capitol Building in Washington, D.C., Sept. 20. The platform, which is designed specifically for the Presidential Inauguration, will be built entirely of lumber in order to protect the marble of the Capitol. On Inauguration day, the platform will hold more than 1,600 people including the president, vice-president and their families.
