The Tujunga Wash Ecosystem Restoration Project constructed a meandering manmade stream course on the bank of the channel in Valley Glen, Calif., which recharges groundwater, enhances water quality and serves as a model for sustainable and healthy alternative stream systems in dense urban settings. The greenway project opened to the public Aug. 15.
