Cavalry spurs were awarded to family members who completed the 3rd Squadron, 38th Cavalry Regiment's, Family Spur Ride here Aug. 9. Earning your spurs is a longtime cavalry tradition where new Soldiers must first earn the right to wear them by proving their abilities and training. In similar fashion the 3-38 Cav. set up a course where Family members could compete to earn their spurs and have a fun day as well.
