Sgt. Ryan Morris, cavalry scout, 3rd Squadron, 38th Cavalry Regiment, 20st BfSB, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash., encourages 6-year-old Drew Banzhaf, a resident and son of Kara Banzhaf, to explore a Humvee during National Night Out at Gig Harbor, Wash.’s city hall, Aug. 7. The event is a national crime and drug prevention campaign, which generates support for local anti-crime efforts, strengthens police-community relations and sends criminals the message that neighborhoods are rising up against them.
