Soldiers from 3rd Platoon, Blackwatch Company, 2nd Battalion, 1st Infantry Regiment, 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, Lancers, conduct a dismounted patrol through a canal outside of their combat outpost in the Arghandab River Valley, Afghanistan. The 2-1 Infantry deployed to Afghanistan as part of Combined Task Force Lancer in the spring of 2012 from Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash.
