Marines with I Marine Expeditionary Force Headquarters Group gather to remember Laura Froehlich, also known as 'Flag Mama,' at Riverside National Cemetery, Aug. 10. For more than 10 years, when the nation called for Marines and sailors to depart March Air Reserve Base to deploy to Iraq and Afghanistan in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom, she was on call to say goodbye and greet them upon return.
