Sgt. Maj. Larry J. Harrington took his post as sergeant major of Marine Transport Squadron 1 replacing Sgt. Maj. Michael C. Daley during a ceremony at Miller's Landing, Aug. 2. Harrington, a native of Gastonia, N.C., said he looks forward to the challenges of the squadron and is eager to get the ball rolling in an aviation unit after spending most of his career so far with the infantry.
