Coast Guard Commandant Adm. Robert Papp gives testimony on the mission of the Coast Guard, the state of Coast Guard assets and operations and responsibilities in the Arctic during a Senate field hearing Monday, Aug. 5, 2012, at Coast Guard Air Station Kodiak, Alaska. The hearing was called by Sens. Lisa Murkowski of Alaska and Mary Landrieu of Louisiana to discuss the needs of the Coast Guard and the nation in the emerging Arctic.
