A crewman from the Baghdad Civil Defense Unit, Hateem neighborhood, gets to a safer vantage point after lighting shrubbery on fire during a controlled burn to rid a field of excess foliage. The mission is part of an on-going effort by 2nd Battalion, 32nd Field Artillery Regiment, attached to the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, to both deny insurgents safe havens to hide caches and plant explosive devices and to clean up the neighborhood in their area of responsibility.
