Capt. Bandy Jeffery and Capt. Alec Zwiaska, 96th Bomb Squadron B-52H Stratofortress pilots from Barksdale Air Force Base, La., depart the B-52H after performing preflight checklists for the mission crew during a Red Flag exercise July 17 at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev. Red Flag provides an opportunity for Air Force Global Strike Command units to demonstrate their ability to deploy long-range strike forces and deliver precision effects that strengthen the nuclear enterprise.
