200810-N-HK244-1017 TINIAN, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (Aug. 10, 2020) Rear Adm. John Menoni, commander of Joint Region Marianas, and Capt. Eric Correll, commodore of Commander Task Force 75, are briefed by Lt. j.g. Aaron Ignacio, officer-in-charge of U.S. Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 3’s Detail Tinian, on a Department of Defense Innovative Readiness Training road repair improvement project prior to a ground-breaking ceremony in Marpo Heights. NMCB-3 is deployed across the Indo-Pacific region conducting high-quality construction to support U.S. and partner nations to strengthen partnerships, deter aggression, and enable expeditionary logistics and naval power projection. The battalion stands ready to complete assigned tasking, support Humanitarian Aid/Disaster Relief and Major Combat Operations throughout the area of responsibility.
