Command Sgt. Major Michael D. Schultz, the command sergeant major of the U.S. Army Reserve, keeps a steady pace during the 10km ruck march event at the 2012 U.S. Army Reserve Best Warrior Competition at Fort McCoy, Wis., July 18. Schultz, a native of Chicago, feels that his participation in the ruck march event is a morale boost for each Warrior competing. He is also a retired police officer from Tampa, Fla.
