Second Lt. Victoria Hernandez screams “Papá! Papá! Aayúdame, ayúdame!” or “Help me!” as she is dragged onto the center of her village street by members of the Helotian League drug cartel. She is in character as the village police chief’s daughter and is executed and left in the street as an example to other villagers. National Guard soldiers with the 71st Battlefield Surveillance Battalion took on the roles of members of a drug cartel or villagers in a notional scenario during their two-week annual training at Joint Base San Antonio-Camp Bullis in June.
