Los Angeles native Command Sgt. Maj. Victor Martinez, the senior non-commissioned officer for the 2nd Stryker Cavalry Regiment, gives a speech as the guest speaker for the Hispanic Heritage Month celebration in the 1st Cavalry Division Morale, Welfare and Recreation Center at Camp Liberty in western Baghdad, Oct. 11. "It's important for the Hispanic community to retain our customs and traditions wherever we go because if we don't, they get lost," Martinez said.
