Fort Carson hosts Army 237th Birthday Ball

Gen. Charles H. Jacoby Jr., commanding general of North American Aerospace Defense Command and U.S. Northern Command, address Fort Carson soldiers and their loved ones about the strength of the nation, America's Army, during the 237th Army Birthday Ball at Fort Carson Special Events Center, June 16, 2012. During his speech, Jacoby welcomed home soldiers of 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, from a deployment to Afghanistan, and asked Fort Carson patrons to remember the Fort Carson and 4th Inf. Div. soldiers currently deployed in defense of the nation. Jacoby invoked the memory of a small group of revolutionaries, "dreamers," who enacted a vision not only for the future of a democratic nation, but for the world.
