Marine Captain and Frankfort, Indiana native commended for exemplary performance

Captain Arlon D. Smith, an intelligence officer and Frankfort, Ind. native, was presented a Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal by Col. Christopher McCarthy, commanding officer at Marine Corps Security Cooperation Group during a formation at Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek – Fort Story, Va., June12. During his tour at MCSCG, Smith deployed multiple times across three different continents, and lead teams in the training of partner forces.
