24th MEU conducts NEO exercise

Role-players acting as American citizens enter an entry control center during bilateral training for a Noncombatant Evacuation Operations scenario at the King Abdullah II Special Operations Training Center, May 26, 2012, as part of exercise Eager Lion 12. Marines with the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit processed role-players through an ECC before transporting them to safety. More than 1,000 Marines and Sailors from the 24th MEU participated in various events ashore throughout Jordan to maximize multilateral training opportunities and continue to build relationships with partners throughout the region. Eager Lion 12 was the second major exercise for the 24th MEU and Iwo Jima Amphibious Ready Group, which are currently deployed to the U.S. Central Command area of operations as a theater reserve and crisis response force.
