U.S.-Indonesian Marines execute amphibious assault exercise during CARAT 2012

U.S. Marines with the 2nd Battalion, Company F, Amphibious Assault Battalion, and Company F, 2nd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, enjoy a cultural exchange with Indonesian counterparts following an amphibious assault exercise launched from the amphibious dock landing ship USS Germantown (LSD 42) at Ivo Jangkar, Indonesia. Foxtrot and Germantown are participating in the underway phase of Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training Indonesia 2012. CARAT is a series of bilateral military exercises between the U.S. Navy and the armed forces of Bangladesh, Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore and Thailand.
