Sgt. Bertin Salgado, Shape Battalion and Staff Sgt. Scott Smith, Allied Forces North Battalion, U.S. Army NATO Brigade, navigate their way through the night land navigation course at the Grafenwoehr Training Area, Grafenwoehr Germany. Smith is a trainer for Salgado and 11 other competitors in the 2012 U.S. Army NATO Brigade Best Warrior Competition. Soldiers, representing three different battalions and traveling from as far away as Spain, are competing in this year’s competition. The winner will represent the brigade at the USAREUR competition.
