Lance Corporal Douglas O. Ongiyo, a financial resource management analyst with Headquarters Battalion, 1st Marine Division, gives a position report during Desert Fire Exercise here, May 8. Ongiyo, a 27-year-old native of Kenya, speaks nine languages and holds a bachelor’s degree in aeronautical engineering from Western Michigan University. He was rescued by Marines from a plane crash in Somalia when he was 15 years old.
