U.S. soldiers with the Louisiana National Guard fire the 105 mm cannon as part of their 21 gun salute to the USS Mitcher (DDG-57). The USS Mitscher (DDG-57) is pulling into the Port of New Orleans to participate in Navy Week New Orleans. Throughout the week the ship will showcase its abilities and capability of the Maritime services utilizing the War of 1812 Commemoration to invigorate interest in Naval History and heritage.
