  • Chief Warrant Officer 2 Thalia S. Ramirez was posthumously awarded the Purple Heart Medal and the Air Medal with Valor device at the 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade Headquarters, Nov. 14. Ramirez,  an OH-58D Kiowa Warrior pilot with the 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade, was killed when her aircraft went down in Logar province, Afghanistan, Sep. 5.
