U.S. Army Sgt. Alex Cervantes, civil-military operations, helps students from Callos Elementary School, Panaranda, Philippines, clean-up school grounds as part of a community relations project by volunteers from the Armed Forces of the Philippines and U.S. Army during Balikatan 2012. Exercise Balikatan is an annual training event aimed at improving combined planning, combat readiness, humanitarian assistance and interoperability between the Armed Forces of the Philippines and United States military.
