Command Sgt. Maj. Bruce Machado (right), the command sergeant major for the 1st Brigade Special Troops Battalion, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, emerges from the under-barrel water-dive obstacle of the Tough Mudder Centurion Challenge, April 21. The course consisted of various obstacles, some with water and some without, that soldiers had to complete while running against the clock. The event was meant to challenge the teams, and inspire esprit de corps and teamwork.
