Sgt. Eric Rodriguez, below-knee amputee and native of Echo Park, Los Angeles, swims the backstroke during swim practice for the 2012 Warrior Games at Colorado Springs, Colo., April 24, 2012. Rodriguez, who lost his leg in an improvised explosive device blast in January 2011, will compete in swimming and wheelchair basketball at the Warrior Games. The Warrior Games is a competition between wounded warriors from all military branches and includes swimming, track and field, cycling, shooting, archery, sitting volleyball and wheelchair basketball. The Warrior Games will run from May 1-5.
