Spc. Justin Garrett, of Martinsville, Ind., with B Company 1st Battalion, 151st Infantry, plot grid coordinates on a map prior to setting out on the day land navigation portion of the Indiana Army National Guard's Soldier of the Year Competition held at Camp Atterbury Joint Maneuver Training Center, Ind., March 31. In the day land navigation event, the soldiers had to locate five points using a map, compass and terrain association; they received a score based upon how points they successfully found within the allotted time of two hours.
