During the National Training Center iteration 12-05, Fort Irwin, Calif., the Tactical Command Post, 1st Battalion, 15th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Heavy Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, was required to call in nine line medical evacuations as well as manage battlefield casualties. One of the purposes of this training is to prepare the units to deploy by providing real world experience.
