Brig. Gen. Michael L. Cunniff, the Adjutant General of New Jersey, shakes the hand of Maj. Margaret Brescio, 117th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, New Jersey Army National Guard, as the 117th departed from Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J., March 27, 2012. The battalion will be deploying to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom where they will plan, coordinate, synchronize, monitor and control the execution of sustainment support for U.S. and coalition forces.
