First lady Michelle Obama arrived at the Air National Guard base in St. Paul, Minn., March 16, 2012 for a roundtable discussion with military and other local community leaders dedicated to supporting military families. Governor Mark Dayton, Senator Amy Klobuchar, Senator Al Franken, St. Paul Mayor Chris Coleman, Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak, Minnesota Adjutant General, Maj. Gen. Rick Nash, and 133rd Airlift Wing commander, Col. Greg Haase, greeted her at the airfield. Inside a conference room at the Air Guard base, Obama heard stories of support to military families as part of her Joining Forces initiative before departing to another event off base.
