U.S. Marine Gunnery Sgt. Jason Rossman, the company gunnery sergeant of Charlie Company, 3rd Assault Amphibious Battalion, currently attached to Combat Logistics Battalion 1, smiles as competitors prepare to begin a ground-fighting tournament here, March 10. Rossman, a 4th degree black belt MCMAP instructor and 37-year-old native of Grand Junction, Colo., has been teaching Marines martial arts since 2001. Rossman recently graduated 17 Marines as MCMAP instructors. In between his duties as the company gunny, Rossman teaches various levels of MCMAP and other martial arts to Marines serving aboard Camp Dwyer.
