Electrician’s Mate Fireman Apprentice Vanessa Futch, assigned to the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68), dead lifts 305 pounds as part of one portion of the ship’s 600-pound club requirements. Club members’ dead lift, squat and bench must sum up to a total of 600 pounds. Nimitz Morale, Welfare and Recreation formed the club to promote physical fitness and well-being within the command. Nimitz recently arrived to its new homeport of Everett, Wash.
