David Thompson, commander of the 7236th Medical Support Unit from Fort Bragg, N.C., provides medical aid to a U.S. Navy Sailor onboard a Sea Hawk helicopter during a night live fire and medical evacuation exercise during the recent training exercise Southbound Trooper at Fort Pickett, Va. (Left) Pfc. Shelby Sullivan from the 7236th MSU assists Thompson inside the Sea Hawk during the casualty evacuation. This mission brought together Canadian Joint Terminal Attack Controller’s a U.S. ground medical team and Navy Sea Hawks together to practice casualty evacuations as part of a night time live fire exercise.
