Cmdr. Gregg Sleppy, officer in charge of Patrol Squadron (VP) 1, gives a farewell handshake to Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force Vice Adm. Hiroo Hatanaka, commander of Japan Fleet Air Forces. Rear Adm. Sean Buck, commander, Patrol and Reconnaissance Force 7th Fleet, invited Hatanaka to tour Naval Air Facility Misawa facilities in order to get a better understanding of the U.S. Navy's role on board this northern Japan located U.S. naval installation.
