The Honorable Clemente Rohee, Guyana's Minister of Home Affairs, receives a military coin of appreciation from U.S. Air Force Col. John D. Poast, a senior military official with U.S. Special Operations Command South, following a senior leader's meeting March 7 at Camp Stephenson, Guyana, 25 miles outside of Georgetown. The meeting was about the ongoing activities and training in support of Exercise Fused 2012. The exercise involves the Guyana Defense Forces and U.S. military working together in order to enhance their collective ability to combat regional threats such as illicit trafficking and organized crime. GDF and U.S. forces work together to improve interoperability in order to achieve these goals.
