Sixteen-year-old Ashanti Curry recites a poem she wrote about the Montford Point Marines during the Preserving the Legacy memorial program at the MCAS Cherry Point Theater Friday. “It is truly an honor to be at this event and have the opportunity to share my words with the Marines,” said Curry.
