William McKay, 91st Military Police Detachment, Fort Polk, La., carries his working dog Sgt. 1st Class Dan near the end of a one mile road march during a canine handler re-certification at Fort Bliss Feb. 7, 2012. McKay had to carry his dog due to a simulated injury the dog suffered during the road march.
