Chief Hospital Corpsman Patrick Mangaran, assigned to the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit, addresses sailors and Marines during a memorial ceremony for Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class Kyler Estrada in the chapel of the amphibious transport dock ship USS New Orleans. Estrada, who was assigned to the 11th MEU, died while conducting night live fire and maneuver training in Djibouti, Africa. New Orleans and embarked Marines assigned to the 11th MEU are deployed as part of the Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group, supporting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
