A Japan Self Defense Forces service member takes blood pressure measurements of a Thai patient at the Ban Lang Khao School, Muaklek, Sara Buri, Thailand, Feb. 15, 2012. Nations participating in Exercise Cobra Gold 2012 held a medical civil assistance project to provide basic medical, dental, and optical care for the local Thai populace. The exercise improves the capability to plan and conduct combined joint operations, building relationships between partnering nations and improving interoperability across the Asia-Pacific region.
