USS Germantown participate in DIVTAC exercise during Exercise Cobra Gold 2012

The forward-deployed amphibious dock landing ship USS Germantown follows behind the Royal Thai Navy ships HTMS Bang Rachan and HTMS Surin, Republic of Korea ship Hyangnobong, and USS Tortuga during a division tactic exercise Feb. 14. Germantown, with embarked elements of the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, is currently underway in support of Cobra Gold an annual recurring multinational and multiservice exercise co-hosted by the Royal Kingdom of Thailand and the U.S. designed to increase interoperability with participating nations by training as a multinational force that shares common goals and security commitments in the Asia-Pacific region.
