A member of the Royal Thai Marines, also known as a “snake man” points out the stinger of a scorpion during a survival training class Feb. 11. The purpose of the class was to teach Marines how to survive in a jungle terrain, portions of which focused on venomous creatures and how to safely eat them. The class was part of Cobra Gold, an annual co-sponsored exercise built to improve the capability to plan and conduct combined-joint operations, build relationships between partner nations and improve interoperability across the Asia-Pacific region.
