Airman 1st Class Brandon Blankensop, 332nd Expeditionary Operations Support Squadron life support shop, checks for leaks on a g-suit at an undisclosed location in Southwest Asia, Jan. 25, 2012. G-suits are designed to prevent g-induced loss of consciousness during flight by restricting the draining of blood away from the brain during periods of high acceleration. Blankensop is deployed from Shaw Air Force Base, S.C., and is a native of Parkersburg, W.Va.
