The press conference is part of Yama Sakura 61. Yama Sakura is an annual Japan-based, simulation-driven, joint-bilateral command post exercise held with JGSDF and U.S. forces. Yama Sakura is designed to enhance U.S. and Japan combat readiness and interoperability and strengthen military relationships.
